Dravidian Studies (Half-Yearly English Research Journal) intends to bring about a fuller understanding of the relationship among all the Dravidian languages, literature, and culture. This journal is very useful for scholars working on Dravidology. This kind of forum facilitates scholars to take up research activities leading to in-depth cross-culture studies and comparative studies. Though a lot of progress is on, much attention has not been paid by the scholars in comparative studies, especially in Dravidian languages. This journal will provide a suitable platform for all quarters of the academic field. The main aim of the journal is to build up a closer relationship working on comparative studies.
Dravidian Studies has been started in the year 2002 and is running successfully. It is a peer-reviewed half-yearly research journal with ISSN 0976-5182. It is also approved by UGC (No. 40721). Dravidian Studies is a half-yearly journal which brings out ongoing research and recent developments in Dravidian languages. Each volume consists of research papers pertaining to the areas of linguistics, philosophy, education, history, and Dravidian languages. Every article is authenticated by learned researchers and peer-reviewed by an expert and experienced Editorial Board.
The interaction of scholars and readers through this medium will naturally enrich them in all their dimensions and also help them in sharing their valuable thoughts. Special issues on National Seminars on single concepts are also published for the benefit of scholars. Scholars can collect those issues on one particular area, which will enable them to gather the information and read the articles of eminent scholars in their related subjects.
Apart from publishing articles, research-oriented books will be given priority for reviews on Dravidian concepts. By having a glance at these reviews, one can select the books of their choice. This is the basic information regarding the Dravidian Studies Journal. If it is indexed under the UGC-CARE approved list of journals, we can limelight Dravidian Studies to the academic world and make it useful for faculty.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has established the Dravidian University in the year 1997 in Kuppam, which is a tri-lingual junction. The Dravidian University is making immense efforts to achieve unity of thought. The publication division (Prasaranga), along with five major southern languages, has also brought numerous collections in the English language. There is no record of any university undertaking publications in so many languages. Along with independent books, Prasaranga has published translations, dictionaries, research books, and linguistic books. Along with these, the publication of Dravidi (Half-Yearly Telugu Research Journal) is commendable.
