The School of Science and Technology comprises four departments which are Department of Computer Science and Technology, Department of Mathematics, Department of Statistics and Department of Library and Information Science to impart research-oriented education and pursue high quality research in emerging areas encompassing Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics and Library and Information Science. The School has developed high-quality teaching programmes at the Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Ph.D. levels such as M.C.A., M.Sc.(Computer Science), M.L.I.Sc., B.Sc. (Computer Science), B.Sc. (Data Science), B.Sc. (Mathematics) and Ph.D. with a student–teacher ratio that is favourable for individual attention. The School has a good record of organising seminars, workshops, symposia and conferences in the emerging areas related to Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics and Library and Information Science. The School is acknowledged for its cutting-edge research, excellent teaching and learning activity in an intellectually stimulating environment. It promotes faculty and doctoral research, consultancy, training and outreach activities in various sectors. The curriculum is designed and enriched with industry support and participation. The pedagogy is heavily interactive with a practical orientation, thus helping students in developing their competencies and realizing their full potential to contribute to the industry.
