Established in 1997 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh with the support of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala, Dravidian University is dedicated to the integrated development of Dravidian languages, literature, culture, folklore, history and tribal studies. Located at the tri-junction of three states, it serves as a beacon of higher education in this region.
Language is a tool of modern technology; in fact, no technical knowledge can be imparted effectively without language. Language serves as the fundamental medium for all forms of knowledge dissemination. The mission of the Department of Language Teaching Technology is to enhance the use of Telugu in technical and professional spheres.
To achieve this objective, the department organizes seminars and workshops where the role and application of language in specialized areas are discussed, leading to meaningful conclusions and the development of practical resource materials. The department focuses on areas such as machine translation, modern teaching methodologies, traditional grammar, and translation studies.
