The Department is offering Ph.D., P.G. (M.A. Telugu), Soft Skills (P.G II & III Semester) and Telugu language paper for U.G. The Department provides comparative perspectives of learning by juxtaposing, comparing and contrasting literature across cultures and languages.
As per its goals and objectives, the Department has carried out teaching and research activities to disseminate knowledge in the backdrop of Dravidian language, literature and culture. It is a cherished goal of the Department to break new ground by designing innovative techniques in teaching and research, especially since most students come from rural backgrounds and regional-medium education.
The Department aims to orient students toward regional and local cultures by incorporating Dravidian writings in Telugu translations without affecting the conventional canon. To enhance knowledge and practical exposure, e-classroom teaching, hands-on training, folklore museum visits, archive studies, manuscript understanding, and e-library usage have been introduced. The syllabus has been periodically revised and approved in the Board of Studies (BoS).
