About The Department :

      The Department of Physics was established as self-financing course in the year 2013. Board of Studies approved course structure and CBCS syllabus of M. Sc Physics 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th semester on 25th and 26th February 2013.The Department of Physics introduce two years full time M. Sc programs in Physics for the academic year 2013-2014 on self financing basis.

Mission and Vision :

      The main intention of the Dravidian University to start this Physics department to develop strong student competencies in Physics and its applications in a technology-rich, interactive environment and also to prepare the students to successfully compete for employment in Electronics, Manufacturing and Teaching industry.

      The main idea of the Physics Department is to develop strong student skills in the research, analysis and interpretation of complex information in the advanced Physics.
