About Department
The Dept. of Biotechnology, School of Herbal Studies and Naturo Sciences introduce the Microbiology Programme during the academic year 2013-2014. Board of Studies approved course structure and CBCS syllabus of M. Sc Microbiology 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th semester on 25th and 26th February 2013.
      The M.Sc Microbiology Programme is two years full time programme for the academic year 2013-2014 on self financing basis.
      The main Vision of the Microbiology Programme is to encourage and support to the Young Researchers in the field of Microbiology and to develop the course according to latest trend for employment opportunities to the students.
      The main objective to start this Microbiology Programme, MSc degree holders in Microbiology will take you through a wide-ranging curriculum describing some of the latest advances in microbiology. It includes courses on medical microbiology, molecular genetics, bioinformatics, the regulation of gene expression in microbial systems, and the role of microorganisms in environmental systems.

Board Of Studies
From the academic year (2013-2014) Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) is introduced in all departments of the University. According to this system the M.Sc. Biotechnology Programme requires a student to earn 100 credits in four semesters. The Board of Studies in Biotechnology is approved course structure and CBCS syllabus of M. Sc Biotechnology for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th semester on 20th November 2019.
