About the Department

The Department of Physical Education of Dravidian University was established on 28-06-2007. The Department of Physical Education of Dravidian University has dedicated itself to mould the youth of Kuppam and the neighborhood by means of building a strong mind and best physique through physical activities.


AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:

- The aim and objectives of Department of Physical Education in the University for the Wholesome Development of students personality and provision of conditions for a complete living and well being.
- To participate in activities that are physically wholesome, mentally stimulating, emotionally controlled and socially sound.


VISION

The Department endeavors to develop wholesome personality of the students by engaging them in relentless pursuit of excellence in Sports and Games.

MISSION

The Department Strives to produce health Conscious, Physically Fit, Mentally strong emotionally mature and socially sound citizens by involving students in vigorous Physical Training.

B.P.Ed. COURSE

The NCTE Southern Regional committee has accorded recognition to Dravidian University for conducting B.P.Ed., Programme with an annual intake of 100 students from the academic year 2016-17 onwards.
