The 19th Foundation Day was celebrated with pomp and gaiety on 09-11-2015. The Vice-Chancellor presided over the Celebrations. In his address he paid rich tributes to founder of the Dravidian University, late Sri. Nandamuri Tarakarama Rao Garu for his vision to serve the cause of Dravidian Languages. He also recalled the invaluable services of former Vice-Chancellors and Civil Servants for the growth of the University.
Prof., K. Sarvotham Rao, Renowned Scholar and Prof. of Telugu (Ret.d), S.V University participated as the Chief Guest and emphasized the importance of Dravidian Languages in Indian Culture and Heritage. He also paid rich tributes to late Sri. Nandamuri Tarakarama Rao Garu for establishing a unique University to promote Dravidian Languages.
Prof. K. Nagendra Prasad, Prof of Civil Engineering and Member of the Works and Buiidings Committee, Dravidian University participated as the Guest of Honour. He advised the teachers and the students to improve their communication skills besides strictly observing discipline in day-to-day life to achieve success.
Prof. C. Varadarajulu Naidu, Dean Academic Affairs, in his address emphasized the importance of Dravidian Languages in understanding the science of Ayurveda.
Members of Faculty, Staff and Students added colour to the celebrations by their presence.
